How long does it take to build a website?
In most cases, building a website takes 4 - 12 weeks, depending on the scope, design requirements, and the complexity of the functionality. Simpler websites with standard elements are completed faster, while more visually complex solutions and integrations require more time for design, planning, and development.
We’ve noticed that delays often occur in the final phase of a project, when content starts to be created or gathered for the new website (copy, images, product 3D renders, etc.). During content production, it’s common to realize changes are needed in the site structure—rearranging sections, removing elements, or adjusting visuals. This is completely normal, but it can extend the timeline.
Estimated timeline:
- Simple website: 4 - 6 weeks
- Mid-complexity website: 6 - 8 weeks
- Complex website: 8 - 12 weeks
